Located in Wilson, North Carolina, just above the 35th parallel, Cardinal Pine Farm specializes in locally grown North Carolina hops. A family-owned farm, we currently grow five varieties of beer hops – Cascade, Centennial, Columbus, Nugget and Chinook hops – which are 100% guaranteed to make any beer lover, and any North Carolina native, extremely happy.
Cardinal Pine Farm is currently preparing for our second year in business! We have already completed our Phase II expansion and will be quadrupling the number of rhizomes and added two new varieties of hops.
July 26, 2016 – We are officially sold out of our first partial hops harvest of our Columbus hops. Thanks to our great customers, Sweet Taters, Uptown Brewing Company and 217 Brew Works. Be on the look out for the announcement for our next harvest.
July 23rd, 2016 – We are pleased to announce that we will have our first harvest on Monday and will have wet hop Columbus for sale. Our second harvest will be announced soon.
Please call 252-289-9590 or place your order here.
We were excited that our first years hops will be used in several microbrews in locally brewed North Carolina beer and we are looking forward to working with even more microbreweries next year.
What People Are Saying
“We were thrilled to have purchased wet hops from y’all last week. We added the hops to POPA (Plain Old Pale Ale), with the goal of letting the flavor of the fresh hop shine through.
Cheers! Count us in each season!”
